About Me

My name is Mychaela and these are my stories of my time abroad while teaching English in South Korea! After graduation and working for almost two years, I decided that I wanted to be able to have the opportunity to go abroad and travel, so my college roommate Dani and I decided we were going to teach English in South Korea.
After a year here in South Korea, I've taken a big step and have decided to stay here for another year. Working in a new school, living in a new area and ready to take on whatever comes my way.
I've also started working towards my Master's degree. Through Grand Canyon University, I have been able to take classes to 1) keep my teaching license and 2) gain a master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction: Elementary Reading.
I absolutely love working with children. They light up my day. I love watching them learn. My favorite feeling is seeing their faces light up when they finally understand or learn something. It makes me feel like I am helping make a difference in their lives.
I love love love looooooove music!
I am the biggest klutz that i know. I am constantly running into things, dropping things on my feet, tripping over my own feet, and I wake up on a daily basis and find bruises everywhere and most of the time I have no idea where they came from.
I love the snow. i hate the rain. i am always cold, no matter what.
I am excited for a second year of new adventures!
